This colorful, meaningful, and spiritual cairn pendant features three surf-tumbled pebbles worn smooth by Lake Superior’s sand, rocks, and waves, combined with the ancient Celtic Trinity knot—or triquetra. Using stones collected at the sacred meeting point of land, water, and air adds deeper symbolism to this piece.
The Celtic Trinity knot, also known as the Holy Trinity knot or Irish love knot, is one of the oldest known religious and spiritual symbols, dating back over 5,000 years. For the Celts, the most important things came in threes: mind, body, and spirit; earth, sea, and sky; or mother, maiden, and crone. In the Christian tradition, it represents the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This interwoven design is a reminder of life’s interconnected cycles and eternal flow.
