Natural white, cream, tan, and gray limestone live plant anchors for aquariums and small ponds. These single-hole, all-natural plant anchors will finally solve the problem of uprooted aquarium plants. Finally, a natural-looking way to keep your aquarium plants where you want them and anchored firmly in the substrate. As many aquarists know, diggers can be big problems in your planted tank. Larger cichlids, dwarf gouramis, corydoras, plecos, oscars, and crustaceans are just a few of the culprits that can keep you elbow deep in the tank too much of the time.
When buying more than three stones or stones of different types and/or sizes, you will almost always receive a partial shipping refund. In most cases, shipping for these orders is $6.00 to $8.00 and you will receive a refund. Any shipping overage over $1.00 will be refunded.

Many aquarists use large limestone rocks in their freshwater aquariums. Natural limestone has a pH of 7, while most tropical freshwater aquariums have a pH of 6.5 to 8. It will very slowly react with water below a pH of 7, acting as a buffer. It's compatible with many common freshwater fish, such as bettas, mollys, guppys, platys, swordtails, cichlids, corys, plecos, goldfish, and many more. I've even kept a Kuhli loach for over 10 years in an aquarium with a huge chunk of decorative Texas holey rock limestone, and they prefer a pH of 6 to 6.5. For fish that prefer a much lower pH, like neon and cardinal tetras, rams, and tiger barbs, I'd probably use other stones like granites, basalts, and sandstones that I sell. The advantage of the limestone is its stark contrast to black stone substrates, which really makes them pop. If your aquarium water is usually in the lower pH range due to lots of wood, overcrowding of fish, and/or poor upkeep on tank cleaning, then limestone isn't your best bet.
Each stone is uniquely different in shape and color variation and was picked from various Lake Michigan beaches. Colors may range from bright white, off white, cream, tan, and gray. The listing photos are representative of the stones you will receive. The bottom of the hole will usually be slightly beveled.
Feel free to message me with a certain color or size preference, a larger hole size, etc., and I will try my best to accommodate depending on what I currently have. I can also drill out larger holes at 0.7 or 0.8 inches per request.
Small light colored stones generally range in size from 1.75 to 3 inches long, 1.4 to 2 inches wide, and 0.5 to 1.25 inches deep, with a hole diameter of 0.5 inches.
Medium light colored stones generally range in size from 2.5 to 3.5 inches long, 2 to 2.5 inches wide, and 0.75 to 1.25 inches deep.
A piece of Seapora filter floss is included with each order to wrap tiny stems before they develop roots.
